ATHAR Education Advisory

About ATHAR

A Saudi-led boutique consultancy for education.

ATHAR Education Advisory helps educational institutions and professional learning organizations design stronger programs, improve existing educational offerings, and build institutional capabilities, with special expertise in higher education and health professions education.

Who we are

ATHAR is a Saudi-led boutique consulting firm. We work with universities and colleges, professional and corporate academies, licensed training providers, language and professional education providers, and healthcare education organizations.

We are deliberately boutique. Engagements are led by senior practitioners, scoped to specific institutional decisions, and staffed with the expertise each one requires — rather than standardized packages.

The name ATHAR — أثر — means trace, or lasting effect. It reflects what we aim to leave behind: programs and capabilities that continue to work after our engagement ends.

Global consulting discipline. Saudi educational context.

Our specialization

Specialist depth where it matters most.

Higher education

Program design and review, learning outcomes and assessment, quality and accreditation readiness, and academic capability development for universities and colleges.

Health professions education

Competency-informed program and curriculum design, assessment practice, and faculty development for organizations educating health professionals.

We also work with academies, training providers, and professional education organizations developing academic, professional, language, and skills-based programs.

Our philosophy

How we work.

  • Practitioner-led consulting

Advice grounded in hands-on experience of designing, leading, and reviewing educational programs.

  • Structured methodology

A consistent, evidence-informed process that makes reasoning visible and decisions defensible.

  • Flexible expert network

Teams assembled around each engagement, bringing the specific expertise it requires.

  • Implementation orientation

Outputs designed to be used: blueprints, roadmaps, and plans your teams can act on.

Methodology

A structured path from insight to implementation.

Every engagement follows the same discipline: understand the context, assess the evidence, design deliberately, validate with the right people, and plan for implementation and improvement.
ATHAR methodology: six steps grouped into five phases, from insight to impact
  1. Insight
    1. Discover

Clarify objectives, context, constraints, and the decisions the work must inform.

    2. Assess

Review needs, evidence, benchmarks, and stakeholder expectations.

  2. Design
    1. Design

Develop structures, outcomes, and frameworks that fit the context.

  3. Validation
    1. Validate

Test the design with stakeholders and specialist expertise.

  4. Implementation
    1. Implement

Translate the design into priorities, responsibilities, and actions.

  5. Impact
    1. Improve

Review results and refine for continued quality and relevance.
